Historical Images: A Witch's Hat Disappears and Returns at Seventh and Asbury

A new weekly feature includes photographs from the Ocean City Historical Museum collection and from the modern era.

This week's "Then and Now" features the building on the northwest corner of Seventh Street and Asbury Avenue. The first photo is from 1895, when the building was home to Adams Fishing Tackle.

The second photo is of the building in 1973, when it housed Connoisseurs Corner. You will notice the "witch's hat" on the corner was removed.

The third photo shows the building as it appears today, as home to a real estate office. Notice the "witch's hat" is back on the building. It was replaced when the building was renovated by a previous owner, Jim Penland.
