Funeral Mass Set for Decompression Wear Owner Jim Mahar

The Ocean City resident and father of three died suddenly on Sunday.

Friends and family in Ocean City are mourning the loss of Jim Mahar, who died of a heart attack at home on Sunday night.

Mahar was a husband and father of three, the owner of the Decompression Wear screen-printing and embroidery company in Somers Point and a well-liked figure in his hometown of Ocean City.

He lived on 12th Street with his wife, Karen (Williams), and their three children, Thomas (13) Victor (11) and Millie (8). Mahar also owned Point Storage in Somers Point.

A Mass of Christian Burial is set for noon Thursday, June 23, at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church at 13th Street and Wesley Avenue. Visitation hours will be 10 a.m. to noon, also at St. Augustine.
