City Will Offer Transportation to Shelter Until 10 P.M. Sunday

Emergency officials want everybody to comply with a mandatory evacuation order.

The Ocean City Office of Emergency Management will offer transportation to the county shelter in Upper Township until 10 p.m. tonight.

Transportation will be available from Ocean City High School until 10 p.m.

The city is encouraging the "last holdouts" to comply with a mandatory evacuation order as a powerful storm approaches Ocean City bringing potentially record flooding.

I hope for the safety and shelter of all residents affected by this powerful storm. Remain close to your families, friends, and be willing to assist someone in distress.
Stay calm, focused, and alert... Be safe and do not take unnecessary risks, if you are not trained to do so. Follow the recommendations of your community at all times. Godspeed - My thoughts are with you -
