Bitter Cold and Snow on the Way for Thursday and Friday

The forecast calls for wind chill values below zero.

Bitter cold temperatures will continue for the next two days — with wind chill values possibly dipping below zero on Thursday.

With a high temperature of only 27 degrees on Thursday and northwest winds gusting up to 22 mph, the temperature will feel like -1 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Low temperatures at night are expected to be in the mid-teens.

Ocean City will likely miss most of the snow from a system that will leave the Delmarva Peninsula on Thursday morning, but any snow could result in icy driving conditions, according to the NWS hazardous weather outlook.

Snow is more likely after 4 p.m. Friday, when a fast-moving system is expected to leave 1 to 3 inches of accumulated snow. The snow (70 percent chance) is expected to end by 1 a.m. Saturday morning.

Friday's high temperature is predicted at 28 degrees, and the wind-chill factor should dip down to zero degrees.

Weekend highs are expected to be 32 degrees on Saturday (mostly sunny) and 34 degrees on Sunday.
