Beach Report: Perfect Weather Starts Night in Venice Weekend

The waves, wind and weather at dawn on the beach and Boardwalk in Ocean City.

It's looking like another day in paradise on Friday morning on the beach at 14th Street.

As on Thursday, the air is cool and crisp, the skies are blue and there's not a drop of precipitation in the forecast. The National Weather Service calls for a high of 81 degrees today.

The same forecast holds for Saturday and Sunday (with only slightly higher temperatures), so the conditions for Night in Venice should be ideal. The wind is light out of the west.

The ocean temperature is 71 degrees and the water is see-your-feet clear.

Surf: There is, of course, trouble in paradise on Friday. Those west winds are ironing the Atlantic Ocean flat. There's essentially no surf on Friday morning, and there doesn't appear to be wave-generating winds or storms on the immediate horizon. Low tide is 2:08 p.m. today.
