Beach Report: Columbus Day Is a Beach Day

The waves, wind and weather at dawn on the beach and Boardwalk in Ocean City.

It has looked—and felt—like summer all weekend on the beach and Boardwalk in Ocean City. Crowds are soaking up the last rays of Indian Summer, and Monday will be no exception.

On the beach at 14th Street on Monday morning, the air is still, the sun is rising into a blue sky, and we're headed for a high temperature of 80 degrees.

The ocean is glassy calm, it's cool. We measured 65 degrees for an ocean temperature in Monday morning—not exactly comfortable, but definitely swimmable.

Surf: There's essentially no surf on Monday morning, and nothing in the immediate weather forecast to change that. Keep an eye on the surf forecasts linked below for updates on some possible activity later in the week.
