McMahon Agency Wins National FEMA Award

Ocean City's McMahon Insurance Agency is one of only three in the nation to win the FEMA Agency of the Year Award.

McMahon Insurance Agency of Ocean City was invited to the 30th National Flood Conference in Anaheim, California, to accept one of three national Agency of the Year awards from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Each year, FEMA recognizes three outstanding insurance industry partners with special awards for their contributions to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). These agencies are honored for their superior efforts in flood awareness activities, innovative marketing strategies, flood insurance policy growth and adherence to established underwriting guidelines.

According to the NFIP, the McMahon Insurance Agency was chosen for this honor due to the group’s outstanding dedication to coastal customer outreach. Long before the devastation wrought by Superstorm Sandy, the McMahon Insurance Agency was a tireless advocate of the importance of storm and flood coverage to protect those who live and own businesses at the shore. After the storm, the group exemplified the way in which insurance agencies should work with customers, finding solutions to problems and delivering timely help to those who suffered storm damage.
