Half-Price Ride Ticket Sales Continue on Boardwalk

It's a rite of spring for Ocean City Boardwalk regulars and it's a great deal: the annual spring half-price sales on Boardwalk ride tickets.

Any family can tell that wallets get light quickly when the kids start racing from ride to ride. The rides at range from one ticket (80 cents, if purchased in bulk) for the carousel to five tickets ($4) for rides including the log flume and giant Ferris wheel. At , the marquee Double Shot thrill ride asks for six tickets (summer ticket prices are not announced yet, but are similar to Gillian's).

So if you're planning on spending time on the Boardwalk this summer, consider the following information on the preseason ticket discounts:

• : Purchase tickets in-person only 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday (April 7) and Sunday (April 8) at the ticket booth at Wonderland Pier. You can purchase a book of 25 tickets for $10 (half-price). Tickets are also for sale 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through April 8 at at 1048 Asbury Avenue. Tickets are also valid for rides at Gillian's Funland in Sea Isle City (where they are on sale 1 to 5 p.m. April 7 and 8).
• : The half-price ticket sale at Playland runs noon to 5 p.m. daily through April 15 for walk-ups. A sign directs purchasers to the Dairy Queen that fronts the Boardwalk at Playland. Books of 40 tickets are going for $20. The same deal is currently available online for half-price ride tickets.
