Boardwalk Adventures opened full-time on Saturday, June 21, and is now open 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. seven days a week through Labor Day.
The grand opening is set for Friday, June 27, 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Radio station SOJO 104.9 will be on site providing music, 25 guests will receive Boardwalk Adventures beach towels and 100 guests will receive free tee shirts.
SOJO 104.9 will be give away four family four packs of tickets that include four all day passes to Boardwalk Adventures, four Adventure Golf passes to Boardwalk Adventures, and two 90-minute Bounce Passes to Boardwalk Bounce, parent included.
Additionally, there will be one grand prize of a Cabana Rental with food and beverage and four all day Water Park passes to Boardwalk Adventures. SOJO 104.9 will also have promotional merchandise and ticket giveaways available.
Boardwalk Adventures mascot Li’l Buc will be on location from 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. for games and fun with children in Li’l Buc’s Bay.
At 12:30 p.m., General Manager Ed Myers will cut the ribbon with the assistance of Mayor Jay Gillian and the Chamber of Commerce
As usual, Boardwalk Adventures will host the Flag Raising Ceremony at 9:20 a.m. before park opening.
Boardwalk Adventures has a few new additions to the park this season.
Adventure Cliff, a 35-foot rock climbing wall, is a fun challenge for all. The rock wall will be available to anyone willing to accept the challenge, and is included in park admission. Guests that wish to climb the wall without park admission are more than welcome, at an entrance fee of $5 per climber.
This year, Boardwalk Adventures will host Family Thursdays, a discount day at both Boardwalk Adventures and Boardwalk Bounce.
For $40, the ticket is an all-day access pass with re-entry to both facilities.
Regular pricing at Boardwalk Adventures for an all-day pass is $30.95 per person, while pricing at Boardwalk Bounce is $15 per hour. The deal runs from July 3-Aug. 28.
Also new for 2014 is the expansion of private parties and events. The Pavilion at Boardwalk Adventures is a 40’x80’ tent at the rear of the park that can be customized for any occasion by the professional party team.
Additionally, Boardwalk Adventures has two new food stations this season.
An adventure-themed mobile concession truck will sit next to Adventure Cliff and will serve items such as grilled chicken sandwiches, wraps, salads, pita and hummus, burgers and more.
The mobile food service station will be available to rent for events and parties in the offseason.
At the front of the park, Whatever Floats Your Boat will serve ice cream, milkshakes, soda floats, cupcakes from Cake That!, and more.
