Wrap Up the Ninth Street Bridge as a Gift This Season

The Ocean City Arts Center is selling photos and prints of the now-demolished Ocean City landmark.

Views of the old Ninth Street Bridge are gone from bay side of Ocean City but still available at the .

Watercolor artist Marie Natale has provided the Arts Center's gift shop with prints, original paintings and notecards that feature many different interpretations of the bridge, which was and is being demolished to make way for a leading to Ninth Street in Ocean City. All that remains of the bridge are a few pilings and one small section of roadway (see photo above).

Photographer Daniel Myers' prints are also for purchase.

"Whether it's a snow-covered look or the landmark during a summer day, pictures of the Ocean City Bridge make a great Christmas gift," Ocean City Arts Center Executive Director Rosalyn Lifshin said.

The gift shop features many paintings, photographs, notecards and greeting cards depicting the resorts' best-known restaurants, Boardwalk attractions and and the beach.

The Ocean City Arts Center is open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday.

The Arts Center will sponsor its second 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, outside the Arts Center at the Ocean City Community Center. Tables for vendors are $25 and are still available by calling the Arts Center at 609-399-7628. Jewelry, hand-made rugs, paintings, notecards and more will be featured at the Crafts Show.
