Nine contestants competed for the title of Miss Ocean City 2013, but only one, Devon Vanderslice, went home with the crown on Saturday night at the Music Pier.
Vanderslice, who was second runner up at , is following in the footsteps of 2012 winner Brenna Carnuccio.
Along with the title, Vanderslice won five other awards including Miss Congeniality, Swimsuit, Interview, Presence and Poise (Formal Wear) and Talent.
Vanderslice performed a tap dance to win the talent category.
During the on stage question, Vanderslice explained that if she ever wrote a book her family would be involved, because she does not have one story in which they are not included. More than 20 members of her family were in the audience cheering her on throughout the night.
