Mary Ann Kline Featured in May at Arts Center

Landscapes, still lifes and other works of the Atlantic County artist will be on display at the Ocean City Arts Center.

 

Plein air painter Mary Ann Kline of Egg Harbor Township will bring her landscapes to the Ocean City Arts Center in May.

A "Meet the Artist" reception, free and open to the public, will be held Friday, May 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Ms. Kline's primary interest is oil landscapes but she also paints interesting still life pieces and other subjects in oil, watercolor, acrylic and pastels. In addition, Ms. Kline enjoys print and jewelry making, creating pottery, figure drawing, and fiber arts.

Her artistic endeavors also include construction of found object sculpture and installations.

"We are happy to feature award-winning artist Mary Ann Kline at the Arts Center throughout May," Ocean City Arts Center Executive Director Rosalyn Lifshin said. "She is a Boardwalk Art Show prize winner and has also won awards at the Atlantic County Education Association Art Show, Cygnus Art Center, Hammonton Art Center, Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts and at the Ocean City Fine Arts League."

Ms. Kline has studied at the Barn Studio of Art, Philadelphia College of Art, Fleisher Art Memorial, Stockton College, Rutgers University and Rowan University.
