The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company will hold auditions for middle school youth and high school students interested in musical theatre on May 4 at the Ocean City Music Pier, 825 Boardwalk.

Auditions will be held for the Ocean City Junior Company productions of The Music Man Jr. and Once On This Island for students entering the sixth grade through students graduating 12th grade. The Ocean City Junior Company is for youth who have a deep passion for musical theatre.

High School students will also be considered for the company’s award winning Spotlight Performers Show Choir. This group will perform in Washington, D.C Fourth of July Parade, the Ocean City Baby Parade, the 2014 Miss America Parade, Ocean City’s Night in Venice Parade and many other special community events.

All kids and youth interested in auditioning should prepare 32 bars or about 30 seconds of any musical theatre song. A piano player will be provided, but performers must bring their own sheet music or a CD with a background track.

Auditions will kick off at 10 a.m. for students who will be in 6th-8th grades as of the fall. High School students should report for auditions at 11 a.m. for their vocal audition. A dance/movement audition will follow after everyone’s vocal auditions.

Everyone should plan to spend a good amount of time at the Music Pier for the audition process.

Specific information and instructions on how you can attend the May 4 audition can be found at www.OceanCityTheatreCompany.com. For more information, email info@oceancitytheatrecompany.com or call 609-398-1118.
