Volunteers Invited to Help Clean Up Corson's Inlet State Park

The Surfrider Foundation is organizing the volunteer effort.

The South Jersey Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is teaming up with the state Park Service for a beach cleanup at Corson's Inlet State Park on Saturday Dec. 1.

The cleanup starts at noon, and anybody is invited to join the volunteers at the beach entrance to the park at 59th Street and Central Avenue in Ocean City.

The same group will be participating in Clean Ocean Action's "Waves of Action" with a community cleanup in historic Gardner's Basin, Atlantic City, on Saturday, Dec. 8. The Inlet section of Atlantic City was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy, and the volunteers are anxious to clean up the shoreline as well as the surrounding neighborhoods. That event will be noon to 3 p.m.
