The event, held in conjunction with the State Parole Board, LWD (Labor and Workforce Development), and regional partners the American Red Cross, and CVAC (Citizens Veterans Advisory Committee of Cape May County), takes place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum, Cape May County Airport, located at 500 Forrestal Rd, Rio Grande, NJ 08242.
This Veterans Resource and Opportunity Fair will provide services to veterans, assisting with issues of employment, homelessness, criminal justice, and mental health (PTSD). This event is open to all military service veterans, including active duty, National Guard, Reservists, veterans and their spouses.
Additionally, there will be a Mr. and Mrs. Veteran New Jersey contest. Participants will share their story of perseverance upon their return from military service. Preliminary contest winners will be invited to return to compete in the Mr. and Ms. Veteran NJ finals in the fall of 2014.
Awards and prizes are available, and the winner will be determined by a panel of judges.
