The weather is warming up and people are escaping from their homes.

They’re taking their kids outside to play in the park, going for a weekend drive, heading to the beach or going for a picnic. Even if you aren’t doing one of these things, you’re taking advantage of the warm weather in one way or another.

Things are happening in the community and we want you to tell Patch about it.

Whether it’s something you’re doing or an important event or story you think needs more attention on Patch, or blog section gives you the ability to tell us, and the community, everything you think we need to know.

Just head to the bottom of the homepage and click the “Start Blogging” button in the “Who’s Blogging” box. Alternately, you can click here.

Next you’ll name your blog, write a description and choose an icon. These will be displayed on all of your blog posts, so choose a name and description that describes what your blog will be about.

Your blog is created! Follow the rest of the steps to post.

Once the blog is created, posting to the blog is easy.

As long as you are signed in, you can head to the blog and at the top, click inside the box that says "Write a new post." Then select "article" at the top and you'll be on your way to posting your thoughts. It's that simple!

There are plenty of options for submitting content to Patch:

· Provide a business update or speak your mind on our Announcement Boards
