Ocean City Police Host Pair of Community Events This Week

Coffee with Cops takes place Wednesday morning, and Friday With Friends is Friday night.

The Ocean City Police Department is inviting the public to participate in a pair of events this week.

The department will hold its “Coffee With Cops” Wednesday morning at the Varsity Inn from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. The Varsity Inn is located at 605 8th Street. For further information, contact Officer Michael Gray at 609-525-9108.

On Friday, the department will host the final “Friday With Friends” of the school year. This event is for teenagers, age 14-18. It takes place at the Ocean City Community Center at 1735 Simpson Avenue.

There will be X-Box games available for play at the library from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m., and table tennis and a movie in the lounge from 7-10 p.m.

There will be a bon fire from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Municipal Alliance Committee, the Ocean City Police Department and Community Policing Unit, the OCFPL, the Ocean City Aquatic and Fitness Center and the Ocean City Recreation Department.
