Ocean City Humane Society's Barks on the Boards Set for June 1

The Humane Society of Ocean City will host its annual Barks on the Boards event on June 1. The event will feature dog games from 10:30 a.m.-noon.

All the dogs will be allowed to walk up on the boardwalk from 6th Street to 14th Street followed by fun contests at the Civic Center practice field. 

Eddie Davis from 96.9 FM Light Rock will host the contests. Contest categories include "Best Tail Wagger."

All proceeds benefit the animal residents at the shelter and some of the dogs up for adoption will be on hand.

Registration is $10 per dog and begins at 10 a.m. at the Civic Center practice field at 6th and Boardwalk.

There is expected to be plenty of parking, and each registered dog receives a gift bag.
