Ocean City High School Class of 1944 Recalls D-Day Eve Graduation

The class was three-quarters what it was to be as students were drafted to fight in World War II, The Press of Atlantic City reports.

Ocean City High School's Class of 1944 gathered at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point on Friday afternoon to recall their graduation day, which came one day before D-Day, The Press of Atlantic City reports.

The only senior class to go without yearbooks due to a paper shortage was reduced drastically as high school students were drafted to fight in World War II, according to the report.
