Miss New Jersey Pageant Returns to Ocean City June 12-14

The pageant is preceded by the parade on June 11.

The Miss New Jersey Pageant is just over two weeks away.

The pageant is set for the Music Pier at Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace June 12-14 with the annual parade on June 11, 7 p.m. on the Boardwalk.

All 24 contestants will dress to replicate this year’s theme, “The Red Carpet on the Ocean City Boardwalk,” and will be “Showing Their Shoes” as is the custom in Miss America sponsored parades.

The preliminary rounds of the pageant are scheduled for June 12 and 13, with the finals scheduled for June 14. All sessions begin at 7:30 p.m.

Miss Eastern Shores Devon Vanderslice, a former Miss Ocean City, will represent the city in the pageant. She attends West Chester University. Her talent is Dance and her platform is “Donate the Gift of Life,” Organ Donation.

Sarah Ford, who will compete in the pageant as Miss Cape May County, is a former Little Miss and Junior Miss Ocean City. She attends the University of Pittsburgh and her talent is Dance. Her platform is Smiles Save: Healing through hospital volunteerism.

The winner of the pageant will compete in the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City next year.

Tickets Prices are $35 for Thursday and Friday, and $50 for the Saturday final. A package price for all three shows is $110. For tickets, call 609-315-1423.
