'Hoboes' Donate $1,500 to OCNJ CARE

The popular Pitman Hobo Band, a staple of Ocean City pageantry, contributes to the Sandy relief effort.

The Pitman Hobo Band donated its Ocean City Christmas Parade fee of $1,500 to OCNJ CARE, the volunteer organization that continues to help those affected by the recent Superstorm Sandy.

The donation was coordinated by the city's Retail Merchants Association. The band performs in most Ocean City parades and will next be featured in the DooDah Parade on April 13, 2013.

Members of the band presented the check to Drew Fasy of OCNJ CARE. Skip Tolomeo, president of the Retail Merchants Association was on hand.
