Boardwalk Bounce Grand Opening is Saturday; Boardwalk Adventures to Raise Flag Monday

The ribbon-cutting is set for Saturday, 11:30 a.m.

Boardwalk Bounce celebrates its opening to the public with a grand-opening ceremony this weekend.

Boardwalk Bounce will have its official grand opening Saturday, May 24, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. At 11:30 a.m., General Manager Tony Polcini will cut the ribbon with the assistance of Mayor Jay Gillian and the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce.

Radio station 91.5 WAYV will be on site providing music, 100 bouncers will receive free tee shirts, and 50 bouncers will receive free popcorn.

Additionally, one grand prize winner will receive a Boardwalk Bounce and Boardwalk Adventures gift bucket, featuring four all-day water park passes, four miniature golf tickets, four 90-minute bounce passes and a tee-shirt.

Bouncer the Frog, Boardwalk Bounce's official mascot, will be on hand to meet and greet guests.

Boardwalk Bounce is billed as the "first interactive play facility in Ocean City" and features a 20-foot slide, bounce houses, rock climbing walls, full service food and free Internet access.

It is designed to entertain children between 2 and 10 years old. It will be open Friday, 4 p.m.-10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; and Monday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Two days after the grand opening, Boardwalk Adventures holds its first Flag Raising Ceremony of the season. On Monday, May 26 at 9:20 a.m., the team will continue the tradition of saluting America’s Freedom with the help of local veterans.

Boardwalk Adventures officially opens June 27. It will be open Saturday, Sunday and Monday, noon-5 p.m., weather permitting. Mini-golf will be open Friday, 11 a.m.-midnight; Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-midnight; and Monday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m.
