Adventure Island Opening for Memorial Day

Adventure Island, the combination of Adventure Golf and Gillian’s Island Water Park, is set to open Memorial Day weekend.

Plymouth Holdings acquired the deed to both Adventure Golf and Gillian’s Island Water Park this week, and is investing $500,000 in the venture.

Many of the familiar faces who operated the park in the past will be back to welcome visitors to Adventure Island. The water park and mini-golf course are expected to employ about 150 seasonal workers, according to spokesperson Monica Coskey.

The principals of Plymouth Holdings and Adventure Island have not been revealed, according to the Ocean City Sentinel.

Prices will remain the same as last summer, according to a release issued by the park on Wednesday.

From Memorial Day through June, all day passes are $20 for the water park and $4 for mini-golf. The park is open from noon-5 p.m. during this time.

Regular-season pricing is $28.95 for an all-day adult pass and $24.95 for children under 48 inches. Tickets previously purchased during Gillian's Island Water Park's preseason holiday sale will be honored at Adventure Island.

Discounted preseason tickets are on sale now at www.ocwaterpark.com with special, limited-time-only pricing. The first 1,000 tickets will be sold at $15, the next 5,000 tickets will be sold at $18 and then the preseason price of $20 will take effect.
