The Evergreens Holds 7th Annual “Cycle of Life” Motorcycle Poker Run

Proceeds to support YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties’ Annual Campaign

Attention bikers! The Evergreens in Moorestown is hosting their 7th annual “Cycle of Life” Motorcycle Poker Run and Residents Walk on Saturday, June 14, 2014. Motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to join this 100+ mile ride to raise money and awareness for the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties’ Annual Campaign.

The event begins at 8 a.m. with registration and breakfast, followed by a shot gun start at 9 a.m. Riders will leave from The Evergreens for a scenic motorcycle tour throughout South Jersey, ending their ride at The Flying W Airport Resort in Medford, where prizes will be given for winning poker card hands.

“Our expectations are high for this year’s Poker Run,” said Doug Halvorsen, president and CEO of The Evergreens and avid motorcycle rider and enthusiast. “Our goal is to raise at least $15,000 from the event. We will continue to work hard to help our neighbors at the Y and support all of the valuable work they do for our community.”

Sponsorship opportunities are now available.

“We’re so thankful to The Evergreens for continuing to hold its annual Poker Run event to support YMCA programs and services,” said Tim Kerrihard, Y president and chief executive officer. “It’s community partnerships like this that help close the financial gap for Burlington and Camden County families who value or require the Y’s programs and services – like swim lessons, summer camp and child care -  but may not be able to afford them.”
