Nice Fred, and once again it is all about competition, winning and the record in inter-city competitions. Mr. Fred did not say too much about this summers big ones , like the South Jerseys held in Ocean City.
Once again, Miller pays no-respect to the really important members of the OCBP, and that would be the every-day winning red-shirt OCBP lifeguards, who compete with conditions of the Atlantic in keeping the swimmers in their area safe.
So, I will say it. CONGRATULATIONS to all you winning "red-shirt lifeguards" for another summer of a well-done job. It is certainly not about the $42,000/summer OCBP Director, but it is the $8,000/summer guards who deserve mention and acknowledgment for saving lives and keeping the shoobies safe!

Come on Historian Fred! Can you relate and find inspiring stories about red-shirt OCBP guards. Maybe your next book could tell the story of those guards who don't get their pictures taken, but just go about doing the job and make sure that the visitors will be back on the OC beaches and in the water next summer. Now that would be interesting and relevant!

Oh Al,
You look like a really old man, but good for you for being so observant: "I even replied to my own post". Could be a continuation Al, but you know who really does not care what I think..... me. But I'll put it out there anyway Al, and I hope I don't hurt your feelings. You must be a liberal, like Fred.
