Ocean City’s Stephanie Wilson (now Faber) and Corby Derr placed second in the mixed doubles rowing event at the Hoffman Memorial Lifeguard Championships and cinched the team title for the Ocean City Beach Patrol 10 years ago on July 26, 2002.

At last year’s event, Ocean City’s Dylan Kosten and Holly Berenotto placed second in the mixed doubles row.

The 43^rd annual Frank “Dutch” Hoffman Memorial Lifeguard Championships will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, on the Lincoln Avenue beach in Wildwood.

• Sunday, July 29: The South Jersey Lifeguard Swimming Championships at the Ocean City Aquatic and Fitness Center Pool, 1735 Simpson Avenue, at 6:30 p.m.
