Arriving at the 59th Street beach, there was a wedding going on and the sun-bathers took it in stride. What a beautiful day to have a wedding....

I was letting my 4 pound yorkie out in the evening on April 7th, when I looked up and saw a full grown fox walking down the middle of 23rd Street right in front of me. I think there might be a few less bunnies this year.

Not surprised to hear about the fox. There was at least one that hung out all winter at the Longport Bridge. Poor bunnies! :`-( Hope they've at least been vaccinated for rabbies for the summer?! Hummmmm

Ed my place is at 22nd and Central and I hear we are hi and dry. Based on what I've seen on TV from the other shore towns I can't believe OC isn't under a foot of sand too!

Ed: I was down to OC yesterday and its amazing that the area around 22nd and Asbury looks like they got nothing there. Not one bit of debris on the streets. No indication of hi water on the houses. Not even sand in the street!! Its hard to believe that where i live at 12th and Haven, the island was 4' deep with water yet at 22nd street there was no tidal surge....

Rick, Whoever you are - thanks for the pics of 54th street. Our house is just a few houses from that intersection. It gives us hope. I just wonder how deep it did get there at the height of last night's tide!

Spent the last two days on Plymouth Place, beach block. Looks like most (on either side of street) got about a 2' water mark, depending on how high you come up off the street. Thin layer of 'silt' laying on everything. New homes (10ish years) have all furnaces, etc. above the high water mark. Electric is ON! Water at the curb, lots of mud there - wear your muckedy muck shoes to work!
