Worker Killed in Fall at Construction Site
Man dies in fall from roof at a home under construction on Seaspray Road.
A construction worker was killed Wednesday in a fall from the roof of a home under construction at 508 E. Seaspray Road.
Joanna Hawkins of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) confirmed the fatality on Thursday morning. The victim was identified later on Thursday as Jorge Arturo Barralaga of Manor Drive in Mays Landing.
The 30-year-old fell about 20 feet to the ground, according to Ocean City Police Capt. Steve Ang. The accident occurred about noon on March 27. Ocean City Fire Department personnel performed CPR at the scene.

The worker was transported to Shore Medical Center.
Hawkins said OSHA inspectors are investigating the incident, but she had no further details on the case.
