Weird Week Comes Together With Paper Clips
Contestants created works of art using only paper clips during Weird Contest Week in Ocean City.
Ocean City residents and visitors gathered Thursday to create designs out of paper clips. The work was part of the annual Weird Contest Week on the Ocean City Music Pier.
Prizes were awarded in age divisions that included: 5-and-under, 6-8, 9-12, teens and adults.
The contest was part of a week of free family events that started on Monday and continues through Friday, Aug. 17.
The contests start each day at 11 a.m. on the Ocean City Music Pier. Pre-registration is not required. Families and individuals just need to come a few minutes early to sign in.
The remaining Weird Contest Week event schedule is as follows:
- Friday: Little Miss and Little Mr. Chaos includes children ages 3 to 5 equipped with pots and pans competing to make as much noise as possible in three minutes. Mr. and Miss Miscellaneous includes "those who have always wanted to compete in a talent contest, but maybe missed the bus or got stuck at a rugby game."
