Statement From Ocean City Emergency Management Office
The city issues an advisory in advance of a major storm expected to hit Ocean City from Sunday through Tuesday.
IMPORTANT WEATHER STATEMENT: Friday, October 26 10:00 a.m.
Ocean City, NJ: The Ocean City Office of Emergency Management advises residents, visitors and property owners to closely monitor weather conditions and forecasts over the next several days to stay informed about the possible effects from Hurricane Sandy.
It is likely this storm will affect our area during the Sunday, October 28 through Tuesday, October 30, timeframe with possible high winds, heavy rain and flooding. You are advised to use Friday and Saturday to prepare yourself, your family and your property for this storm.
Secure all loose items on and around your property and prepare to move vehicles to higher ground in flood prone areas. If you feel you are unable to deal with or prepare for potential power outages at your property, please begin planning now for a temporary location to relocate.
