Spring Block Party Set for Saturday in Ocean City

More than 400 vendors will line Asbury Avenue between Fifth to 14th streets for the annual street festival on May 14.

Ocean City's Spring Block Party is scheduled later in May than usual—the product of a late Easter and an early Mother's Day—but that has local vendors hoping that the weather will be even better than usual.

The annual event is set for 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, on Asbury Avenue between Fifth and 14th streets.

"The event feature more than 400 crafters, plus food vendors, entertainment, pony rides for children and public service displays," Ocean City Public Relations Director Mark Soifer said in a written release. "It is one of the largest events of its kind in the state."
