The Ocean City High School Drama Guild is ready to premiere its spring production, Legally Blonde, with shows scheduled for March 29, 30 and 31.
More than 120 students and teachers make up the cast, crew and pit orchestra for the show made famous by the 2001 comedy film and later Broadway musical.
Director Leah Getz says the high-energy show is one the students enjoy.
"The students asked me about Legally Blonde, and once I heard the soundtrack, I was convinced," Getz says. "We were thinking about doing My Fair Lady or another older show, but this is what the students wanted. I think that because it is more contemporary, and because they chose it ,they are more committed."
