Police End Narcotics Investigation With Raid, Arrest

Raid took place on Thursday.

After a month long narcotics investigation, the Ocean City Police Department arrested Tameka M. McKeiver, 22, of Ocean City, after obtaining a search warrant and raiding a Bay Avenue residence on Thursday at noon, according to a press release issued on Sunday by Capt. Steven Ang.

According to the report, during the search of the residence, the police found packaging material, more than one half of an ounce of cocaine, and the prescription pain killers oxycodone, diazepam and alprazolam.

McKeiver is being charged with distribution in a school zone, distribution of cocaine, possession of prescription medication, possession of CDS paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child, the report said.

McKeiver's bail is set for $50,000 full cash.

Americas Greatest Family Resort - at least she won't be bringing a bottle of wine to dinner somewhere !!! LOL. I guess buying a home because it's a dry town is ok, as long as the illegal narcotics are flowing !!!!!! Too funny.

Selling drugs in school zone? Not funny at all dreamer. Pretty stupid to relate such a thing to BYOB too. Can't let it go huh?

No it's not funny, it's sad and dangerous, but obviously you are too slow to understand sarcasm. I voted against byob, because it was not going to add economic value to the businesses or area, not because I am so caught up believing that everything that goes on in other towns goes on here. So maybe if everyone got their heads out of their asses they would try and fix what's going on in the town to make it better.

I agree with OCLocal. We've got to drop "those" four letters from posts b/c when one does not reads as though they are still miffed about the vote and living in the past. I followed this subject daily on the Patch and I remember ocdreamer's posts and views. Why did you delete all of your posts on that subject ocdreamer?

Here is a little note for everyone who thinks O.C. is above and different then the rest of the world, which really makes me laugh!!! I've lived in some pretty nice places all of my life (Rumson,Little Silver,Deal,Mantoloking,Summit) and what i've realized is the higher income areas most of the time are worse when it comes to drugs because people can affored them. Trust me i know, Recovering Addict for 20years, so don"t be naive and take off the blinders O.C. is no different then anyother town!!! OPPSS we are the last dry town though, TAKE PRIDE IN IT!!!!

It's been my life experience too. But the higher income areas don't have the violent crime associated with the drugs.

DD, you are correct that BYOB and hard core drugs are not related, unless you happen to think that BYOB between 2-11 at a limited number of dining establishments off the boardwalk and drunken college kids puking on the boardwalk are related. It was the anti-BYOB who used this "slippery slope" argument to fight BYOB. Yes, BYOB lost, but in our system, it can come back for vote yearly if the losing side thinks it can convince about 1000 people to change their votes. And yes, OCNJ has far more serious problems that will never get the attention and manpower put up to defeat BYOB. This simply shows how misplaced are some people's priorities.

As a postscript it was passed unanimously in the ( Bipartisan ) Assembly Judiciary Committee.
