New Ocean City Polling Place, Other Election Changes

Changes in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

As a result of Hurricane Sandy’s impact on Cape May County voters, candidates and poll workers, the County Clerk’s Office and the Board of Elections will be open throughout the weekend to assist voters and to conduct election business.

Both offices will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti and Board of Elections Registrars Michael Kennedy and Doug Dunhour participated in a conference call late on Thursday, Nov. 1 with state and county election officials regarding the difficulties and disruptions caused by Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath.  As a result, Executive Order 104 was issued to relax a number of election rules to help voters cast their ballot in this November 6 General Election.
