Power Restored to Merion Park on Monday Evening

Atlantic City Electric reported a power outage for about 1,200 customers in Marmora and Ocean City on Monday afternoon and early evening.

The Merion Park section of Ocean City was in darkness from the marshes to Acme during a power outage Monday afternoon and early evening.

Atlantic City Electric reported that 1,180 homes in the Marmora section of Upper Township and the Merion Park section of Ocean City were without power. The outage was first reported at 2:52 p.m.

But one Merion Park resident reported the return of electricity at 5:20 p.m., and area was fully restored by 6:20 p.m. The same section of town lost power for about an hour on Sunday.

The cause of the outage is still "under evaluation," according to Atlantic City Electric's online outage map.
