'Handcrafted in America' Exhibit at Accent Gallery
Local artists will be celebrated at a Dec. 10 open house.
Handcrafted works by southern New Jersey artists will be featured this month at Accent Gallery on Asbury Avenue with an open house planned from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 10.
The exhibit, "Handcrafted in America," focuses on exceptional American crafts made by talented local artists from Cape May, Cumberland, Atlantic, Ocean and Gloucester counties. Collette Smith, the only participant from Ocean City, created an entire line of pottery pieces for this particular show.
Other artists enjoying the spotlight this month are: Marie Elaine Lanza (hand-painted ceramics) of Cape May Court House; Antoinette Lotz (stained glass) of Manahawkin; Bob Baum (ceramics) of Mays Landing; Lance Lichtensteiger (hand-carved wildlife) of Surf City; Russell Grecco (ceramics) of Ocean View; Scott Meyers (glass) of Millville; Tony Matteo (woodworking) of Mullica Hill, and Robert Deane (pottery) of Media, PA.
For 40 years, Accent Gallery has been home to some of the nation’s most notable contemporary glass and ceramic artists, as well as an ardent supporter of local talent.
