Forget the Bunny — the 'Prune Dude' Will Be Here for Easter

The Fractured Prune doughnut shop will reopen on Saturday, April 7.

The "Prune Dude," mascot of the popular Fractured Prune, will help the doughnut shop reopen for the season by passing out plastic eggs containing coupons for free doughnuts.

The shop officially reopens for weekends at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7, and the Dude will be passing out his treats on Easter Day.

“Easter is a great time for bringing families together in America’s Greatest Family Resort, and we wanted to celebrate the return of spring with a grand re-opening on Easter weekend,” owner Joanne Jenkins said. “We’ll be giving out samples and handing out plastic eggs with coupons inside."

The Fractured Prune will be open weekends until June — when it will stay open seven days a week through Labor Day.

“Our savvy customers will want to sign up for our new Customer Loyalty Email Program on the Fractured Prune’s website in order to receive free items including coupons for donuts, Frisbees, T-shirts and much more,” Jenkins said.

The Fractured Prune staff will also be using Facebook and Twitter to announce giveaway locations associated with a promotional vehicle called “The Prune Buggy.” Friends of the Prune Buggy will benefit from special events and free offers all summer long.
