Fire Destroys Truck in West Avenue Alley
The Ocean City Fire Department responded to the fire around noon on Saturday.
Ocean City firefighters responded to a blaze that destroyed a Ford F150 parked in an alley off of West Avenue just after 12 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, according to the Ocean City Fire Department.
"When we pulled out of the station on 6th street, black smoke poured over the sky," said Captain James Smith.
At first, when the 13 firefighters who responded located the scene on the 200 block of West Avenue, they believed the house was burning as well, but the only other damage was to a nearby boat, said Smith.
It took approximately 30 minutes to get the fire under control, and the incident is still under investigation, according to Smith.
