Add Photos of Your Favorite Light Boxes
Community Art Projects has painted more than 30 in Ocean City.
Volunteer artists from the group Community Art Projects (CAP) have been busy painting the metal boxes that accompany traffic signals throughout Ocean City.
Scenes of flowers, beaches, schools and more now adorn the city from north to south.
We've posted a few of our favorites in the photo gallery above, but we're inviting readers to submit photos of their own — just click on the "Upload Photos and Videos" link above to get started. And let us know what you like about the artwork in the comment section below.

I would just like to share with all the Patch readers that painting the traffic boxes has been not only a lot of fun, but an extremely positive experience. The interaction with the public while I have been painting has been very rewarding. It is an honor to be a part of this project. - Carla Migliaccio

Why doesn't Patch take pictures of them all and we could vote (as we've done on things before)? Would be nice to showcase them and give the artists some kudos.

Thanks for this opportunity for me to tell the residents and visitors of Ocean City what a delightful lift it was to stand on the corner of 8th and Wesley and meet all of you. Without exception, everyone was supportive and complimentary. I didn't count, but I would bet literally hundreds of people walked, biked, or drove past while I was there painting and almost everyone stopped to comment not only on mine but on all the terrific artwork around town. I especially got a chuckle from all the shout-outs from passing cars. A special thanks to Romeo's for their kindnesses. Thank you, Leslie, for putting this all together, and especially for inviting me to participate.
