Clear skies and warm September weather made for a perfect day at Saturday's Airport Festival at the Ocean City Municipal Airport.

Thousands of visitors gathered for the 27th annual festival 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event included classic and rare airplanes on display, a Mitchell World War II B-25 bomber, a model airplane exhibition, a paper-airplane-making and flying contest, face-painting for children, antique cars, music, food, airplane and helicopter rides and more.

Ocean City's aviation weekend continues Sunday with the annual Boardwalk Aerobatic Airshow 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
