Cricket Box Owners Donate $500 for Beachwalk Program

The money will benefit Ocean City's guided nature walks.

Bill and Lois Maguire, owners of the , 704 Asbury Ave., present a $500 check to Ocean City Community Services Directo Jim Mallon to be used for the city’s Beachwalk Program.

The check is in appreciation of profits made from their new, reusable tote bag that features replicas of every city beach tag since the program was implemented in 1976. The store has featured city memorabilia items for many years, including the Cat’s Meow series of more than 120 replicas of Ocean City buildings, posters, floor mats and beach blankets.

Ocean City's Beachwalk Program includes guided nature walks that leave from the south end of Central Avenue near Corson's Inlet State Park.
