This year marks the 13th year for the Charles Knox Memorial Scholarship Fund benefit and the eighth in Ocean City. The scholarship is named for Arlene Stryker's son, an Ocean City High School student and youth hockey player who died in a car accident while on the way to see a Philadelphia Flyers hockey game in the 1990s, according to Paul Stryker, one of the event's organizers.
More than $100,000 in scholarship money has been granted in Knox's name since the scholarship fund began. Last year, seven students shared $15,000 in scholarships.
DiBitetto has performed at comedy venues nationwide and boast a high-energy act that sometimes pokes fun at family life and his Italian American heritage.
Blizzard is a former Miss New Jersey who continues to entertain audiences as the emcee of the annual pageant. A mother of three, Blizzard has performed comedy throughout the region.
