A disorderly conduct arrest was made during First Night in Ocean City on Saturday night around 9:30 p.m., according to Capt. Steve Ang of the Ocean City Police Department.

The police arrested Christopher Elk, 33, of Somers Point, after he allegedly became verbally abusive toward staff at St. Peter's United Methodist Church after being denied entry to a First Night comedy show due to the venue being at full capacity, said Ang.

According to the First Night schedule, the comedy show scheduled for 8 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. at St. Peter's was Abbott & Costello.

The police responded to the call from St. Peter's staff, brought Elk into the station and released him with a summons for disorderly conduct, said Ang.
